Mzumbe University in Tanzania and the Center for Responsible Management Education have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote responsible management education in support of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education in East Africa.

Plans include the collaboration in activities like conferences, seminars, workshops, short-courses for knowledge sharing and capacity building. The first tangible activities are planned for late 2013 with an executive seminar about responsible management as kick-off event. The seminar will be organized in Tanzania, catering to the needs of executives from all East-African nations.

CRME contributes to the collaboration with expertise in developing responsible management curricula and lecture materials, and through its global responsible management specialist network. Mzumbe University provides an excellent local infrastructure and in-depth knowledge about the East African context of responsible management, invaluable for adopting educational designs for local relevance and application.
